Panthers secured back-to-back-to-back Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) regular season and tournament titles!
Panthers won 21 consecutive matches for the second year in a row
26-8 overall record, UNI clinched its third consecutive MVC regular season and tournament titles (first team to do this since 2009)
Second straight 18-0 regular season run through conference play
UNI selected as one of the top 32 seeds in the NCAA Tournament for the second year in a row
7-wins against the NCAA RPI's Top 100, including three Top 50 wins
#1 in the nation in for second straight year in kills per set, and third in the nation in assists per set
Challenging pre-season matches against Dayton, Ohio State, West Virginia, Creighton, Louisville, Texas A&M, and SMU
NCAA Tournament
This year marked UNI's 26th NCAA Tournament appearance.
For the second straight year the Panthers were awarded one of the top 32 seeds in the NCAA Tournament. UNI would draw Big Ten opponent Illinois in the first round of the tournament in Louisville, KY. The Panthers dismantled the Illini in a 3-1 victory, securing the programs 17th NCAA tournament victory.
UNI would then face host and #1 seeded Louisville in what turned out to be an epic battle and one of the best NCAA tournament matches EVER. The Panthers were up 14-12 in the 5th set to potentially pull one of the biggest upsets in tournament history, but ended up falling 20-22.

UNI finished the 2024 season just outside the final Top 25 Coaches Poll, finishing 27th!

UNI finished the 2024 season ranked in Top 30 in the nation in attendance for all home matches. Ahead of Iowa State, Illinois, SMU, Kansas, Indiana, Northwestern, TCU...etc.
UNI has been ranked in the Top 30 in the nation in attendance 22 of the past 25 seasons.

UNI has finished ranked in the Top 30 in RPI in each of the past three seasons.
Season Awards
Kira Fallert was named Co-MVC Player of the Year, marking the 13th time a Panther has earned the league’s MVP award.
Erin Powers picked up Co-MVC Libero of the Year honors. She joins Ellie Blankenship (2010) and Sydney Petersen (2022) as the only Panthers to receive the award.
Head coach Bobbi Petersen was named MVC Coach of the Year for
a record ninth time.Fallert and Powers joined Kacie Rewerts and Olivia Tjernagel as
UNI’s four First Team All-MVC selections this season.Cassidy Hartman and Lily Dykstra both earned Second Team All-MVC honors.
Academically, Fallert was recognized off the court as the MVC
Scholar-Athlete of the Year, along with her third straight
MVC Scholar-Athlete First Team honor.Kacie Rewerts was also named to the MVC Scholar-Athlete Second Team.
