Jason Allen

Jason Allen completed his 7th year with the Panthers in 2025.

Since joining the UNI staff in 2019, the Panthers have captured five Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) regular season championships and four MVC Tournament titles, reaching the NCAA Tournament five times with three wins in the Big Dance. Allen has helped coach three MVC Players of the Year in his time at Northern Iowa in Karlie Taylor (2019), Kira Fallert (2024) and Cassidy Hartman (2025), along with 13 AVCA All-Region performers, 27 All-MVC Team selections and seven MVC All-Freshman Team honorees.

Allen has played an integral role in helping UNI boast a blistering 77-1 record against Missouri Valley Conference opponents in the past four years and secure 4-straight MVC regular season and tournament championships.

Prior to UNI, Allen has had coaching stops at Houston, Marquette, Iowa, Sam Houston State, North Dakota State, and Southwest Minnesota State. 

Allen is a graduate of Oklahoma Baptist (2000). Jason and his wife, Jennifer, have two daughters Sophia and Abigail.
